Mackenzie and Sam planned their intimate hiking ceremony with their closest family and friends in the Kananaskis area, starting their day near Barrier Lake. It was a rainy July day, but despite the weather, everyone’s spirits were so high. We began with a few getting ready portraits with their families, then made our way to the trailhead to hike along Barrier Lake Trail. Just as we arrived, the rain stopped and it couldn't have worked out more perferctly!

The two shared their vows overlooking a fog filled mountain view. Even with the rain and fog, everything came together so beautifully. One of their closest friends officiated, which made the ceremony feel even more personal, there truly wasn’t a dry eye in sight. The love these two share is truly admirable.

After the ceremony, we moved into family photos and portraits before the rain picked back up as we headed down the trail. We then went back to their Airbnb in Canmore to relax and take a few more photos, before heading to The Sensory Canmore to celebrate with more family and friends. Their day was so intentional and heartfelt, and it made for such beautiful, heartwarming photos.
